The stadium on the Oktyabrskiy Island in Kaliningrad was built specifically for the FIFA World Cup and is able to place up to 35,000 spectators at the same time. After the football tournament, the new sports arena will become the home football field of FC "Baltika", where the team will be able to hold matches in tournaments of any level. In addition, on the main arena of Kaliningrad, it will be possible to organize various sports events and concerts.
Along with the other twelve stadiums in Russia, where FIFA World Cup matches were held, the stadium "Kaliningrad" is equipped up to the state of the art. Particular attention was paid to solutions responsible for stable electric power supply to all arena systems. In the furtherance of this goal, more than 30 three-phase UPSs of Trio and Extra series with a total capacity of 1.4 MVA were purchased. Industrial uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) produced by DKC are built using modern transformerless technology based on IGBT-transistors. The devices work on the principle of double conversion, that guaranteed uninterrupted power supply for the most important stadium systems during the whole tournament, such as: sports lighting system of the field, emergency lighting system, IT infrastructure, security and video control systems and many others.
